This summer, let your generosity take the wheel. When you enter BPR’s Driven by Generosity Summer Car Raffle, you’re fueling independent news, essential storytelling, and the music that connects Western North Carolina — all while getting a chance to win a 2026 sapphire blue Subaru Crosstrek Limited Hybrid SUV from Fred Anderson Subaru (MSRP: $36,311). Befitting the theme, the car was donated by a generous supporter, so all ticket proceeds benefit BPR.

The raffle closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 9, or when all 1,500 tickets are sold. The winner will be selected at random on August 10 and announced on August 14.

Early Bird Bonus: Purchase your ticket by 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 30, to be automatically entered in a drawing for our Early Bird Prize, a three-night stay (October 2-5) for up to six people at Bluegreen Club Lodges at Trillium in Cashiers during peak fall season. How to Enter

The raffle runs through 11:59 p.m. ET Sunday, August 9, or until all 1,500 tickets are sold.
Choose the entry method that works best for you:

  • Purchase online.
  • Call BPR at 828‑210‑4810 — Provide your name, address, phone, email, and credit card information. Phone sales close at 5 p.m. ET on Friday, August 7, 2026.
  • Mail your entry — Print out and complete the form and mail it to: BPR, Attn: BPR Summer Car Raffle, 73 Broadway, Asheville, NC 28801. Mailed entries must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2026.

Eligibility & Rules

Contest void where prohibited. Must be 18 or older to enter. Current employees of Western North Carolina Public Radio, their immediate household family members, and members of the BPR Board of Directors are not eligible.

Winner is responsible for all federal taxes on raffle winnings (25% of MSRP), plus local, state, and registration fees (approximately $10,000). See official rules. BPR reserves the right to cancel or modify the raffle.
