
Ele Ellis
CEO and General ManagerEle Ellis is the CEO and General Manager at BPR. An experienced executive with a significant record of leadership, Ele spent the past five years working in various roles at WUWM, Milwaukee’s NPR affiliate. During her 25 years in radio, Ellis has worked at stations across the country, from Idaho to Georgia.
She began her career with an eight-year stint at WNCW in Spindale, N.C., where she was an announcer, marketing specialist, operations director and program director.
She joined the station in April 2025.

The House has approved a Trump administration plan to rescind $1.1 billion for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting — a move that cuts all federal support for NPR. For Blue Ridge Public Radio, that means a loss of $330,000 annually.
