(3/19 12:30 p.m.)  North Carolina has reported 893,229 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 1,915 cases from the day before.  970 are currently hospitalized statewide, a decrease of 25 from the day before.  11,805 have died of COVID-19 statewide, an increase of 22 from the day before.  In the 13 North Carolina Counties in Blue Ridge Public Radio's listening area, there are 46,321 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 804 deaths. That's an increase of 110 confirmed cases and 0 deaths from the day before. 

(3/18 12:30 p.m.)  North Carolina has reported 891,314 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 2,004 cases from the day before.  995 are currently hospitalized statewide, a decrease of 7 from the day before.  11,783 have died of COVID-19 statewide, an increase of 26 from the day before.  In the 13 North Carolina Counties in Blue Ridge Public Radio's listening area, there are 46,211 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 804 deaths. That's an increase of 96 confirmed cases and 0 deaths from the day before. 

(3/17 1:00 p.m.)  North Carolina has reported 889,310 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 1,999 cases from the day before.  1,002 are currently hospitalized statewide, a decrease of 19 from the day before.  11,757 have died of COVID-19 statewide, an increase of 35 from the day before.  In the 13 North Carolina Counties in Blue Ridge Public Radio's listening area, there are 46,115 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 804 deaths. That's an increase of 111 confirmed cases and 0 deaths from the day before. 

(3/16 4 p.m.)COVID-19 vaccine providers across Western North Carolina are preparing to open vaccination appointments for people who are part of Group 4. Starting Wednesday, March 17, people with pre-existing medical conditions that put them at risk for serious illness from COVID-19, people experiencing homelessness and those who are incarcerated are eligible for the shot. North Carolina plans to move to other essential workers and other people in close group living settings on April 7. 

(3/16 1:00 p.m.)  North Carolina has reported 887,311 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 1,093 cases from the day before.  1,021 are currently hospitalized statewide, an increase of 45 from the day before.  11,722 have died of COVID-19 statewide, an increase of 13 from the day before.  In the 13 North Carolina Counties in Blue Ridge Public Radio's listening area, there are 46,004 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 804 deaths. That's an increase of 50 confirmed cases and 0 deaths from the day before. 

(3/15 1:00 p.m.)  North Carolina has reported 886,218 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 4,395 cases from Friday.  976 are currently hospitalized statewide, a decrease of 61 from Friday.  11,709 have died of COVID-19 statewide, an increase of 46 from Friday.  In the 13 North Carolina Counties in Blue Ridge Public Radio's listening area, there are 45,954 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 804 deaths. That's an increase of 192 confirmed cases and 0 deaths since Friday.
