BPR News is thrilled to announce that it has won three Society of Professional Journalists Green Eyeshade Awards.
- First place, Breaking News Reporting/Radio: "Canton Voices: The effects of the Pactiv Evergreen paper mill closure on the community"
- Second place, Public Service in Radio Journalism: "On the Edge: The issues facing families with children in Western North Carolina"
- Third place, Investigative Reporting/Radio: "'Secret Sauce' Expired: The Ramada Inn Conversion for Asheville's Unhoused"
Earlier this summer, "Canton Voices" won a second place Public Media Journalists Association award, while the "Secret Sauce Expired" series was honored with a Regional Edward R. Murrow award.

Journalists enter from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Society of Professional Journalists' Green Eyeshade is the nation's oldest regional journalism awards competition.
