Local government races are under way in Western North Carolina. In BPR’s listening area, 10 counties are hosting elections for the mayor, town council and other important seats.The deadline is approaching to register to vote in the municipal elections. You must register by October 13th to vote.This election will also be the first that a photo ID will be required thanks to a new state law.
