Colombian Envoy Recounts Hostage Rescue Efforts
The Colombian military on Wednesday freed 15 people held by the FARC rebel group. The hostages include Ingrid Betancourt, who was running for president when the FARC kidnapped her six years ago, and three American military contractors. Deadly Shooting In Nairobi Mall
An upscale shopping mall in Nairobi is the scene of a deadly standoff. Kenyan armed forces are battling gunmen who stormed the Mall on Saturday. The Red Cross says at least 20 people have been killed. NPR's Gregory Warner is on the scene and he tells host Scott Simon the latest.
