  • Two former North Carolina House members who have now returned to Raleigh after time away have landed committee leadership positions. House Speaker Tim Moore unveiled on Tuesday committee rosters for the new two-year session. Republican Rep. Stephen Ross of Alamance County and Democratic Rep. Tricia Cotham of Mecklenburg County both won their elections in November. Ross is now a commerce chairman, while Cotham will help lead the K-12 education committee.
