Steve Busey

I spent the first 20 years of my professional life working in the music industry as a marketing and sales representative for Capital EMI and Sony Music. In 1997 I moved to Asheville and started at WCQS as volunteer during the membership drives. After spending five years in travel and tourism print advertising sales in Asheville and Western North Carolina, Blue Ridge Public Radio asked if I would be interested in working in its underwriting department. In 2008 I became the Director of Underwriting. Representing public radio is one of the proudest positions I’ve ever held. I get great joy from raising the funds that make public radio possible and presenting businesses our educated and engaged audience.
