Megan Cain


Born and raised in Asheville, Megan worked as a reporter and a producer across the globe in Israel, London and Australia. Her reporting earned multiple awards, including the prestigious William Randolph Hearst Award.

Megan graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a journalism degree. While at UNC, Megan worked across disciplines, exploring interests in radio, television and live sports production.

Currently, her reporting tends to center around sports, environmental issues and education. She's always had a knack for following her curiosity to strange and often underreported topics.

Local colleges are set to resume classes this coming Monday, January 10. With the omicron variant spreading across Western North Carolina, campuses are taking extra precautions.

Colonial Pipeline announced Thursday morning that fuel deliveries should be made by the end of the day. The pipeline restarted operations on Wednesday night after being out of service since a cyber-attack caused a shutdown.
