Elise McGannon

Elise joined BPR in February 2022, working as a Business Sponsorship Account Representative in the underwriting department. She loves connecting with the incredible businesses of Western North Carolina to help get them on-air. Before BPR, Elise lived in Chicago where she was the Production Director at her college radio station, worked at WBEZ, Chicago’s NPR news source, and acted as head-producer for a local Chicago podcast. Her favorite radio memory is DJing in college, her show being named The Witching Hour, where she spun spooky tunes each week.

Originally from Michigan, Elise moved to Chicago and attended Loyola University Chicago, to earn a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Sociology. Elise is excited to be calling Asheville home now, especially when winter rolls around and it’s not nearly as cold as the Midwest.
