BPR's 2024 Spring Drive Prize Drawing Rules

Review the prize drawing rules for BPR's 2024 Spring Drive, which takes place Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, 2024, with a pre-drive period Wednesday April 3 through Sunday, April 14, 2024.

BPR is conducting prize drawings during its 2024 Spring Drive, which takes place Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, 2024, with a pre-drive period Wednesday April 3 through Sunday, April 14, 2024. Any person that meets Eligibility requirements set forth below are entitled to enter and have a chance to win more than one prize, based on the entry period for each drawing. Any changes or additions to prize drawings will be posted on this page.

Prize Details

  1. Two (2) Golden Ticket Subscriptions for Brevard Music Center’s 2024 Summer Season. The tickets may be used to attend all Thursday performances during the 2024 Summer Season. Tickets are nontransferable and seating is available on a first come-first served basis. The winner must contact the Brevard Center Box Office at 828-862-2105 to arrange access to each performance. BPR will contact the winner with information on how to redeem the prize and is not responsible for performance cancellations, changes, or seat availability. Transportation and meals are not included. The value of the prize is $3,176. Drawing entry period: 6am Eastern Wednesday April 3, 2024, through 6pm Eastern Wednesday April 17, 2024. 
  2. Five (5) North Carolina State Parks Annual Passes. Each Pass allows the winner to enjoy equipment rentals, swimming, and more throughout the calendar year, based on availability. Five winners will be selected. The value of each prize is $90. Drawing entry period: 6am-6pm Eastern, Monday, April 15, 2024.  
  3. One (1) “travel gift card” good for $3,000 in credit with Sequel Travel in Raleigh, NC, which can be used to purchase any services offered by Sequel Travel. BPR will contact the winner with information on how to redeem the prize and is not responsible for limitations on use of the “travel gift card’ or credit including booking fees. All travel must be arranged directly with Sequel Travel. The value of the prize is $3,000. Drawing entry period: 4pm Eastern, Tuesday, April 16 through 6pm, Friday, April 19, 2024.  

Eligibility
No contribution is necessary to be entered in drawing. Drawing is open to U.S. citizens residing in the 50 states of the U.S. or District of Columbia. Entrants must be 18 or older. This contest is sponsored by WNC Public Radio, Inc. (dba Blue Ridge Public Radio), 73 Broadway, Asheville, NC 28801. Employees, board members, and advisory committee members of BPR, its affiliates, advertising and production agencies related to this contest, and their respective household members are not eligible. BPR volunteers may enter if they are not included in the above-named categories. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Taxes are the responsibility of the winner(s). Winner(s) must complete a W9 form prior to claiming prize(s).

How to Enter
No purchase or contribution is necessary to be entered in the prize drawings, though we hope you will! You may enter this contest by making a one-time contribution or a Sustaining contribution at BPR.org or by calling BPR’s donation line at 828-210-4810. 

Non-contributing entrants may enter here. Current Sustainers are automatically entered in the drawings. No other method of entry will be accepted. Drawing eligibility periods vary by prize (please refer to the Prize Details, above). Persons may enter more than one drawing. Limit one entry per person. Incomplete entries are void.

Selection of Winner
Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received by the deadline dates above. Prize drawing will be conducted by BPR staff. Winners need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or email within two business days of drawing. Every reasonable attempt will be made to award the prize. If after every reasonable effort has been exerted (three (3) attempts over 30 days)* to award the prize but the potential winner cannot be reached after 30 days from first notification attempt, or the potential winner has refused to accept the prize, or if entrant is found to be ineligible, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and become the property of Blue Ridge Public Radio.

Odds of Winning
Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winner’s name, hometown, and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation. Winner will be notified by telephone and/or email.

Limit one entry per person for the entire entry period. Multiple entries, if discovered, will be disqualified. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with these official rules including all eligibility requirements. BPR is not responsible for failures in technology such as but not limited to: technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any website or online service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, or misdirected entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Proof of emailing does not constitute proof of delivery.

Prizes are not transferable and have no cash value. All taxes on the prizes, including but not limited to federal, state and local income and sales taxes, and any expense not covered herein (including but not limited to expenses related to the use of the prize) are the responsibility of the winners. Prize drawing participants, by entering, release BPR, its employees and its agents from any liability with respect to the receipt or use of any awarded prize. BPR makes no and disclaims all warranties, guarantees or representations, express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, or merchantability of any prize. Blue Ridge Public Radio reserves the right to cancel this contest and not award any prizes, in the event of unforeseen developments warrant cancellation.
