Join BPR Classic this weekend for a 2-part musical tribute to Tina Turner.
The first hour airs Saturday at 5pm, and hour 2 airs Sunday at 5pm on BPR Classic.
In this special from producer Paul Ingles, listeners will hear a mix of tracks from over 50 years of recording and performing by Tina Turner - first in the Ike and Tina Turner Revue, then as a solo artist starting in the middle 1970's. Music writers and educators Holly Gleason, Anthony DeCurtis and Aaron Cohen pitch in commentary and suggestions of their favorite Tina songs. 15 of her performances are included.
