Thanks to everyone who made a pledge to WCQS this spring and to our sustaining members, who support WCQS every day. We ended the drive on schedule, just shy of our $200,000 goal. It was a great week. We had three successful Member Match Challenges and two wonderful community challenges - one to benefit Asheville Humane Societyand one to benefit Loving Food Resources. Our thanks to the two incredibly generous anonymous sponsors for the AHS challenge and to PLIand Mountain Food Products for making matching contributions to provide a year's worth of fresh produce to the clients of LFR.

And we'd be remiss if we didn't congratulate a few lucky folks as well. Congratulations to Ann Solomon and Ralph Simpson, both of Asheville for winning the VIP tickets to see David Sedaris on April 19th. And huge congratulations to Allan and Donna Tarleton of Asheville. They were the enviable lucky winners of a trip for two down the Danube River this October.
