Starting Nov. 17, NPR is making some changes to its clocks, especially Morning Edition. What's a clock, you say?
Well, every public radio program has what's called a broadcast clock.
Clocks are templates that stations like WCQS use to track the timing of a show's stories and interviews, newscasts, and credits each day.
For most of you, Morning Edition will sound exactly the same. But for those of you super-listeners, we thought we'd make sure you know these changes are intentional.
So how will you notice the changes? Starting today, you'll be able to hear WCQS News twice each hour, at 20 at 44 minutes past the hour. And don't worry-- all the segments you're used to hearing, from Cokie Roberts to Storycorps, and gardening with Alison Arnold to Tony Kiss, will still be on the show.
We're sharing feedback with NPR about these changes as they roll out. If you have questions or comments, please send them to us: bsayer@wcqs.org.
