The holiday season is in full swing in Western North Carolina. Christmas decorations and performances highlight the entertainment scene. Topping Tony's list, the Moscow Ballet’s celebrated Great Russian Nutcracker at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium at US Cellular Center on Tuesday December 8, at 7:00pm. The Asheville Ballet performs Tchaikovsky's classic version of "The Nutcracker" at Diana Wortham Theater December 11th-12, and the Asheville Contemporary Dance Theater and New Studio of Dance present their version of the tale tonight and tomorrow (12/4-12/5) at Diana Wortham Theater.
Victorian London is the theme for Biltmore Village. Tonight (12/4) at 6:00 over 1,000 luminaries will line the streets of the historic district. The celebration continues Saturday with carolers dressed in period clothing, musicians, and much more.
