WCQS Radio Technology Assistant
General Responsibilities and Functions:
The Technology Assistant’s primary responsibility is maintaining WNCPRI’s computer and network infrastructure and supporting the traditional business and broadcast users of that technology.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Basic system and account administration for email, windows networking, and other systems.
· Working with broadcast engineering team to meet the computing and data needs of projects.
· Close collaboration with broadcast and IT consulting engineers on various projects and resolution of technical issues.
· Documentation of existing and new technologies including process maps, presentation materials (training materials), metrics, charts and related contracts and other documents.
· Facilities maintenance including but not limited to changing consumables (light bulbs, air filters, etc.), minor repairs, and coordination with contractors for maintenance and repair of facilities.
Qualifications:
· 4 Year Bachelors Degree.
· CompTIA A+ Certification
· CompTIA NET+ Certification
· 4 years of technology related experience required
· Clean driving record with a NC Drivers License.
· Ability to physically lift and carry technology equipment (approximately 40 lbs.)
· Willingness to be in an On-Call rotation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Demonstrated field experience working with end-user technical support in a responsive, helpful, courteous, and tactful manner leading to timely and appropriate problem resolution or escalation.
· Wide range of computer hardware and software experience in a networked environment and a willingness to learn new and emerging technologies as they are introduced to the organization.
· Demonstrated knowledge and field experience with basic applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
· Demonstrated ability to train and work with staff on a variety of technology tools; including: productivity suites, broadcast applications, and web-based software.
· Demonstrated field experience working with confidential and time-sensitive matters.
· Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
· Demonstrated organization skills, with attention to detail.
