BPR Summer Member Week Sweepstakes Rules

BPR is giving away daily prize packages during its BPR Member Week July 20 – 24, 2020.

Eligibility
No contribution is necessary to be entered in drawings. Drawings are open to U.S. citizens residing in the 50 states of the U.S. or District of Columbia. Entrants must be 18 or older. These contests are sponsored by WNC Public Radio, Inc. (dba Blue Ridge Public Radio), 73 Broadway, Asheville, NC 28801. BPR employees and and their respective household members are not eligible. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Taxes are the responsibility of the winner(s). Winner(s) must complete a W9 form prior to claiming prize(s).

How to Enter
No purchase or contribution is necessary. You may enter this contest by making a one-time contribution or starting a sustaining membership at bpr.org  or by calling 828-210-4810. To be entered in the drawing without making a contribution, fill out the "Enter me in the drawing only" form. No other method of entry will be accepted. Contest begins July 18, 2020 at 12:01 AM and ends at 11:59 PM on July 24, 2020. Limit one entry per person. Incomplete entries are void.

Selection of Winner(s)
Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received by the deadline date above. Prize drawings will be conducted by BPR. Drawings will be conducted within one day of each featured prize offering. Winners will be announced on-air on 7/21/2020, 7/22/20, 7/23/20; the winner of the  7/24/2020 prize drawing will be announced on-air on 7/27.  Winners need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or email within two business days of drawing. Every reasonable attempt will be made to award each prize. If after every reasonable effort has been exerted (three (3) attempts over 30 days)* to award the prize but the potential winner cannot be reached after 30 days from first notification attempt, or the potential winner has refused to accept the prize, or if entrant is found to be ineligible, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, a new winner will be selected at random. In the event the second winner does not accept the prize, the prize will be foreited and become the property of Blue Ridge Public Radio.

Odds of Winning
Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winner’s name, hometown, and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation. Winner will be notified by telephone and/or email.

Limit of Entry 
Limit one entry per person for the entire entry period. Multiple entries, if discovered, will be disqualified. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with these official rules including all eligibility requirements. BPR is not responsible for failures in technology such as but not limited to: technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any website or online service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, or misdirected entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Proof of emailing does not constitute proof of delivery.

Prizes 
Prizes are not transferable and have no cash value. All taxes on the prizes, including but not limited to federal, state and local income and sales taxes, and any expense not covered herein (including but not limited to expenses related to the use of the prize) are the responsibility of the winners. Prize drawing participants, by entering, release BPR and its employees from any liability with respect to the receipt or use of any awarded prize. BPR makes no and disclaims all warranties, guarantees or representations, express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, or merchantability of any prize.

7/20/2020 - East Fork Shopping Spree:
Gift Certificate to East Fork Pottery valued at $500.

7/21/2020: Home Makeover Package
Package includes a two-hour in-home color and design consultation with Mountain Paint & Decorating and two gallons of their best paint, valued at $200; gift certificates to Jesse Israel & Sons Garden Company valued at $500; and an Appalachian Budvase from Lexington Glassworks valued between $90 - $145. Total value of Home Makeover Package is $790 - $845.    

7/22/2020 - WNC Outdoor Adventure Package:
Gift certificates and merch for Navitat Canopy Adventures Mountain Top Tour, valued at $220, and a Nantahala Adventure Pass for four from Nanthala Outdoor Center (NOC), valued at $380. Total value of WNC Outdoor Adventure Package is valued at $600.  

7/23/2020 - Local Food & Brews Package:
Gift certificates from Hi-Wire Brewing, valued at $100, and gift certificates to Takeout Central valued at $500. Total value of Local Eats Package is $600.

7/24/2020 - The Asheville Weekender Package:
ASAP Tailgate Market Boxes and ASAP merch valued at $270; Flowers and fresh produce from Carolina Flowers and Zadies Market valued at $75; and a gift certificate and swag from Malaprop's Bookstore valued at $125. Total value of The Asheville Weekender Package is $470. 
 
Blue Ridge Public Radio reserves the right to cancel this contest and not award any prizes, in the event of unforeseen developments warrant cancellation. For the names of the prize winners, call BPR’s Membership department at 828-210-4800. Winner names will not be available until after July 27, 2020.
