Original Post:

North Carolina Republican Congressman Patrick McHenry will hold a town hall event Tuesday in Swannanoa.  The meeting will be at the Land of Sky Shrine Club at 39 Spring Cove Road.

McHenry has been acting whip in the House of Representatives since the wounding of Rep. Steve Scalise.   The town hall comes just days after the failure of Senate Republicans to pass a repeal of the Affordable Care Act, a 7 year promise to their constituents.

The Chairman of Buncombe County Republicans Carl Mumpower sent out a message calling for supporters to attend to counter what he said of last year's attendees - "angry, loud, profane, aggressive, repetitive, disruptive, antagonistic and agenda-driven progressives doing their best to beat the host into submission and/or error."  He wants supporters to attend holding signs reading "Quietly Conservative."
