White House Opioid Commission Misses First Deadline

The Senate health care bill failed to make it to a vote this week, in part, because of its apparent lack of funding for opioid addiction treatment. In March, President Trump set up a commission to focus on the opioid crisis.

But this week the group missed its first deadline: a preliminary report scheduled to be released Tuesday. Here & Now‘s Jeremy Hobson hears more from STAT reporter Lev Facher (@levfacher).
