Chuck Hagel joins us to share thoughts about his experiences as US Senator and as US Secretary of Defense. We’ll hear his philosophies on government, foreign policy, and his advice for the new president.

Chuck Hagel has served at some of the highest levels of government, as a US Senator from Nebraska, and more recently as the Secretary of Defense from 2013-2015.

He hasn’t been shy about sharing his thoughts about the Obama Administration, about current and past foreign policy, or about his advice for the incoming presidential administration, among other things.

Chuck Hagel is in Charlotte Thursday, to speak to the World Affairs Council Charlotte. Before that, guest host Michael Bitzer will speak to him about his views on the Trump presidency and what steps he would encourage Donald Trump to take as he gets ready to take office; about US foreign policy, including Syria; and about his time as Secretary of Defense.
