Updated: WCU Faculty Senate Weighs in on Koch Foundation Money

The Chair of the Western Carolina University Faculty Senate says its likely grant money from the Charles  Koch Foundation is a done deal but that the University needs to revisit its guidelines for pursuing foundation grant money.  Dr. David McCord is a Professor of Psychology at Western.  He spoke with David Hurand.

Western Carolina University Chancellor David Belcher says he is confident the proposed Center for the Study of Free Enterprise will be funded sometime during Spring semester.  Last week the University Board of Trustees approved creation of the Center and endorsed funding from the Charles Koch Foundation. The Foundation was established by billionaire Charles Koch.  He and his brother David have funded conservative politicians, libertarian and pro-business causes to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. WCU is in line for as much as two-million dollars from the Foundation.   Chancellor Belcher spoke with David Hurand.
