The Republican controlled State Senate is at odds with the Republican controlled House over the details of a new fiscal year state budget. The two chambers are attempting to work out their differences but its unlikely a budget agreement will be reached by July 1. The key players are Speaker of the House Tim Moore and Senate Pro-tem Phil Berger. The third most important lawmaker is fellow Republican, Tom Apodaca of Henderson County.
