In July the animal rights group People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals celebrated the transfer of eleven bears from a closed zoo in Cherokee to an animal sanctuary in Texas. Over the next three days David Hurand Speaks with the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Indians about the move, the effects of sequestration on the tribe and the future of the local economy. David spoke with the Chief in his office in Cherokee.
