You did it! WCQS listeners raised $200,000 for the Fall Membership Drive by September 21stfor uninterrupted programming. It was a terrific show of community support, and every pledge to WCQS was matched by generous sponsors to benefit health, education and income partner programs of the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County.
WCQS listeners have made public radio history - again! This is the third successful 'quiet drive' for WCQS. We asked for your support during regularly scheduled breaks, so that not one minute of programming was interrupted by fundraising. Listener support makes everything you enjoy on WCQS possible. Fundraising is essential, but interrupting the very reason you tune in is not. This is fundraising that respects the programming and your listening experience.
