Your Gift Matched This Morning!
Today is our 1-day membership drive to kick-off year-end giving. To celebrate the drive, the strength of our community and this season of giving, every gift made between 7 a.m. - Noon will be matched by HomeTrust Bank for Homeward Bound, up to $10,000.
At a time of year when so many of us are grateful for the good in our lives, it's also a time to help others less fortunate. Double the impact of your gift by making a gift to WCQS. $10,000 for WCQS between 7 and Noon on December 8 means $10,000 for Homeward Bound's AHOPE Center and the fight to end homelessness, thanks to the generosity of HomeTrust Bank.
Homeward Bound ends homelessness in Western North Carolina by moving people into housing of their own and providing the support they need to stay housed for good. 89% of the people they've housed haven't become homeless again. Homeward Bound is expanding its AHOPE Center. The AHOPE center provides day services to clients and will also be the primary point of entry for Coordinated Assessment. Coordinated Assessment is a national best practice to determine the most appropriate permanent housing intervention.
WCQS has covered the work of Homeward Bound and issues of homelessness and affordable housing in Western North Carolina. Ending homelessness is something we can all believe in. Do your part today between 7 a.m. and Noon to help keep WCQS a strong and vibrant source for information and civil discourse AND help Homeward Bound end homelessness in Western North Carolina.
Everything raised today will help WCQS raise $80,000 by December 31st to stay on track for 2016. Every gift made by December 31st qualifies for a 2015 tax deduction; WCQS is a charitable organization that is 54% donor funded. You will our thanks every day in 2016.
