Wake County
What is your top priority if elected?
Lower costs for working people in Buncombe County by making housing more affordable, attracting good jobs, supporting small business owners, and continuing to make healthcare and childcare more accessible.
What three words would you use to describe your political values?
Democracy, Accountability, Freedom
What do you wish the community knew about this office?
The NC General Assembly has a much larger impact on our daily lives than most people think. Things like teacher pay, funding for roads, environmental standards, income tax rates, and access to healthcare are all directly controlled by the state legislature.
That’s why our community needs a strong, independent voice who will work for folks in Buncombe County, not for powerful outside interests in Raleigh.
What is one thing that you want to say to voters?
I became a public school teacher because I care about families and doing right by our children. I’m running for reelection for the same reason – so I can keep bringing down the cost of childcare, protecting access to abortion and IVF, and strengthening public education.
