Mark Pless

Republican Party

Where are you from? Native to Canton

What is your top priority if elected? Continue helping my Constituents navigate state agencies. Having brought over $200 million to Haywood and Madison Counties in the 4 years since first being elected I intend to continue fighting for our share of funding in Raleigh. I have worked hard to fund recovery from Tropical Storm Fred since the storm struck. I am continuing that fight as Disaster Committees Chairman because there are many unmet needs still.

What do you wish the community knew about this office? My goal is to be receptive and responsive to all my constituents. I don’t have the ability to fix everything but no one should feel they can’t reach out to me. I listen attentively and help anyone and everyone I can. If the situation is something I can’t help with, my office will get them to the proper agency whether federal or local.

What is one thing that you want to say to voters? I appreciate the opportunity to serve the residents of Haywood and Madison Counties as your NC House of Representatives member. I will continue to fight for you and would ask for your vote in November.

Where do you currently live?

Evelyn Davis

Where are you from? Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada, moved to US Oct. 30, 1991-Naturalized citizen

What is your top priority if elected?  Reproductive Rights/All rights; Public Education/Childcare; Firearm Safety

What do you wish the community knew about this office?  Your representative is supposed to reflect your morals and standards and advocate for your concerns to the State Legislature. I will represent you. I will fight for your rights.

What is one thing that you want to say to voters? It is time for change. You can't complain and just do nothing or else nothing changes. If not ME and YOU, THEN WHO? I will listen and represent you. VOTE it is your Voice for CHANGE!
