Every heart in public radio is heavy this week after the loss one its most beloved figures. Carl Kasell, veteran newscaster and scorekeeper emeritus for Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, died at the age of 84, due to complications of Alzheimer's Disease.

Make your gift to WCQS between now and 9 o'clock Wednesday morning (April 9) and you'll be entered in a drawing to win a pair of tickets to the May 22nd performance and recording of Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! at the Chase Bank Auditorium. Our winners will fly direct from Asheville to Chicago on United Airlines, thanks to our friends at Asheville Regional Airport.

Peter Sagal, Carl Kasell and panelists Brian Babylon, Bobcat Goldthwait and Roxanne Roberts wowed the sold-out crowd at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium August 1st. Lots of pictures were taken and we'd like to see them! If you managed to your mug snapped with any of the Wait Wait cast or crew or 'Not My Job' guest, Charles Frazier, send them our way.
