Membership Drive

Blue Ridge Public Radio is a lot of things to a lot of people across Western North Carolina. It may be your steadfast companion, those familiar voices that you follow throughout the day. For those new to the region, it may be that particular bend of national NPR programming and local flavor that makes WNC feel like home. And for others, it's helping to serve a deep need for local news and cultural programming that connects and informs our diverse communities.

Thanks to everyone who made 2018 a great year for Blue Ridge Public Radio. It was a year of continued growth and expansion of our service on BPR Classic and BPR News for WNC, thanks to the support of contributing listeners and business sponsors. We couldn't be more grateful.

Thanks to everyone who supported Blue Ridge Public Radio's Fall Membership Drive. It took a brief extra inning to get there, but we did it - without interrupting one minute of the programs you count on. More than 1,300 listeners helped us raise more than $200,000.

Blue Ridge Public Radio brings you programming that enriches your life and fundraising that respects the very reason you listen. We couldn't be more proud of you - loyal and committed listeners who know how important this service is. Everything you hear is made possible by contributing listeners.

Wow! We made the Fall Membership Drive goal - without interrupting programming.  This marks our 6th Drive without one moment of interruption to the news and music that you count on. Thank you to everyone who supported this terrific community effort!

Thanks to everyone who contributed to our Spring Membership Drive! The goal was $225,000 by April 12 for uninterrupted programming - and you did it! This marks our 5th consecutive Membership Drive without one moment of fundraising interruption to the programs you love.

The deadline for our Membership Drive is fast approaching!  The goal is $225,000 by April 12 for uninterrupted programming. This is our 5th fundraising season without one moment of program interruption. We're asking you to support the programming you value during regularly scheduled breaks. Give now for programming that enriches your life and fundraising that respects your listening experience.

You did it! WCQS listeners raised $200,000 for the Fall Membership Drive by September 21st for uninterrupted programming. It was a terrific show of community support, and every pledge to WCQS was matched by generous sponsors to benefit health, education and income partner programs of the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County.

Last fall WCQS tried a new approach to fundraising - raise the goal without interruption to programming. The response was overwhelmingly positive! You helped us eliminate the traditional On-Air Membership Drive by responding to brief reminders during regularly scheduled breaks. Now it's time to turn the page on 30 years of interruptive fundraisers forever and prove that last fall wasn't a fluke. Let's work together to make this the new, smart-model for fundraising.
