Boil Advisory

The City of Asheville has lifted the system-wide boil advisory issued earlier this morning.

However, the city says in a news release the advisory remains in effect for 1,000 customers in East Asheville.

Early on Wed., the City originally urged residents city-wide to boil their water, due to a 24-inch transmission waterline being ruptured Tues. night.

The city says as Water Maintenance worked through this repair Wed., they discovered not all customers would be affected. Customers affected are from Bee Tree Road to Upper Grassy Branch Road.
