Thanks to the support of more than 1,650 Members, Blue Ridge Public Radio exceeded the Spring 2020 Membership Drive goal, raising more than $225,000 from March 11 through April 8.
While BPR’s news and cultural programming is free to listen to, it takes real financial resources to make it a reality, particularly during the coronavirus crisis. BPR Members are the core of our existence as a local, independent listener-supported public service. You are essential – thank you!
Because of our Members, BPR will continue to provide Western North Carolina listeners with reliable information about the coronavirus, giving facts and advice from the nation’s top healthcare professionals, and information about schools, workplaces, and public gatherings and events. Listeners can count on BPR and NPR’s team of experienced reporters around the world and here in our community to keep them connected.
Special thanks to BPR’s Sustaining Members - those who give each month automatically through checking accounts or credit cards. Thanks also to listeners who give to BPR throughout the year via employer matching gifts, vehicle donations, IRA disbursements, or by other means. This continued partnership and support is fundamental to BPR.
Please keep listening to BPR News and BPR Classic daily and invite family and friends here in WNC to do the same. BPR is on your radio, on the free BPR mobile app, online streams at bpr.org, and on smart speakers - available whenever and wherever you need to listen.
Thank you again for this critical financial support.
