Would you like to help strengthen Blue Ridge Public Radio’s relationship with the Western North Carolina Community? Got ideas for enhancing BPR’s programming and increasing impact? 

Apply for the BPR Community Forum by completing this online form no later than December 6. The Community Forum is BPR’s volunteer community advisory board. Forum members serve a 2-year term and commit to contributing a few hours each month to provide feedback on BPR services and help improve community outreach.

Whether you’re an infrequent public radio listener or a strong supporter, BPR needs your voice to enhance its connection to Western North Carolina. If this opportunity sounds right for you, we encourage you to apply. If you know someone who’d be interested, please share this article.

What: The Blue Ridge Public Radio Community Forum is a group of volunteers comprised of Western North Carolina residents who serve as a conduit for feedback, initiatives, and outreach between the station and the WNC community

Who: BPR its seeking 10 new Forum Members who are committed to donating a few hours per month to strengthen BPR’s relationship and responsiveness to the local community

Where: Anyone within BPR’s broadcast area is eligible to apply, even infrequent listeners. We need ALL voices and views

When: Online applications are due by December 6th. Upon selection, members will serve a two-year term.

Why: Public radio works best when it is responsive to a diverse set of community voices to enhance programming, outreach, and community impact

How: Forum members work collectively with station management on specific projects and outreach efforts
