Blue Ridge Public Radio took home three first-place and five second-place awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas.
The awards were announced in a virtual ceremony November 14th. BPR won first place awards in the radio category for Consumer/Economic, Entertainment, and Political Stories. Second-place awards include for Health/Medicine, Investigative, Light Feature, Series, and Sports.
"What I'm most happy about is that seven different reporters from our news team won awards this year in eight different categories," said BPR news director Matt Bush. "It speaks to the talent and depth of the team we have assembled here, and their ability to report on anything."
