While Senate Democrats and Republicans have reached an agreement to reopen the federal government, it was another unusually quiet day today at the world's largest active archive of weather data. The partial shutdown of the federal government, which began the first of October, has left the National Climatic Data Center in Asheville with a skeleton crew.
