USDA Program Aim: Fight Persistent Rural Poverty

USDA Rural Development  Deputy  Under Secretary Patrice Kunesh was in Western North Carolina to tout programs the federal department hopes will help reduce rural poverty.  Kunesh, who is a graduate of the University of Colorado Law School and earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government spoke with David Hurand about rural poverty, the Obama Administrations proposed Food, Farm, and Jobs bill, and her how her heritage influences her work.
