Schools
Asheville City Schools is operating on a remote learning basis on Tuesday.
Buncombe County Schools are operating on an asynchronous remote learning day.
Jackson County schools are closed.
Haywood County schools are closed and operating on a Remote Learning Optional Teacher Workday.
Henderson County schools are operating on a two-hour delay.
Swain County schools are closed.
Cherokee County schools are operating on a two-hour delay.
Transylvania County schools will operate on a virtual day.
Yancey County schools are closed.
Graham County schools are closed.
Madison County schools are closed.
Other services
In Asheville, the Asheville Rapid Transit (ART) bus service is currently suspended.
Asheville Parks & Recreation Community Centers will operate on an inclement weather schedule. Childcare with indoor activities, crafts, and get-to-know-you games available for $5 per child at Linwood Crump Shiloh Community Centers (for Buncombe County School students) and Tempie Avery Montford Community Center (for Asheville City School students) from 9am-6pm. Each child or teen should bring their own lunch and drink, but snacks are provided.
All sports leagues and athletics practices are cancelled.
Burton Street and Murphy-Oakley community centers are closed. All other community centers are open from 12-6pm, but regular programs are cancelled at:
