BPR is hosting a Community Match, today, Wednesday, December 7. Every gift made to BPR up to $10,000 will be matched by generous community members Rick and Lynne Noble.

$10,000 raised for BPR today means $10,000 for Homeward Bound, a local nonprofit that believes homelessness is a solvable problem.

Ending homelessness is something we can all believe in. Your donation today will help staff at Homeward Bound provide permanent housing to some of the area’s most vulnerable chronically unhoused individuals and wrap them in support services to help stabilize their lives and improve their quality of life. Since 2006 Homeward Bound has moved 2,400 people into homes, and 92% have never returned to homelessness.

In this season of giving and gratitude, double the impact of your donation today.

  • Start or increase a sustaining membership at $5 or more per month today, and have it matched for Homeward Bound!
  • Make a one time gift of any amount today, and have it matched for Homeward Bound!

Every gift of every amount to BPR will be matched up to $10,000 for Homeward Bound’s Compass Point Village, today only. Learn more about Compass Point Village and Homeward Bound’s Home is Key campaign here.

This station relies on listener support, and your gift now will make it possible for BPR to continue to provide crucial news and information and cultural connections for Western North Carolina. Your contribution will also help communities in need.

Your gift to BPR qualifies for a 2022 tax deduction, so extend your generosity today to help BPR secure these matching funds for Homeward Bound.

About Homeward Bound

Homeward Bound’s work is based on three values or truths:

  • The value, dignity and worth of every human being - no exceptions
  • Housing is a basic human right
  • Homelessness is a solvable problem

Homeward Bound works with area individuals who are chronically unhoused. Many have been living on the streets for a year, 10 years, or sometimes 20 or 30 years. Homeward Bound offers programs and services to help them stabilize their lives so they can stay in housing and improve their quality of life. Learn more about their programs and services here.
