Visit WCQS During the Broadway Block Party: It's B.A.D.!

On Saturday, August 29th, arts organizations and businesses in the Broadway Arts District (B.A.D.), Asheville's newest downtown cultural hub, will be hosting a free block party featuring exhibitions, installations, performances, hands-on activities, food trucks, and more.

WCQS invites listeners to tour the studios and be a part of a special recording project. We want to record visitors' interest in and the experience of art and we'd like to hear why WCQS matters to you.

Other participants include: The Center for Craft, Creativity & Design, Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center and Media Arts Project and 2015 DanceFest hosted by Lindsey kelley Dance, Maison Mary, Satellite Gallery, Willow's Dream, Counter Culture Coffee, Bruisin Ales, The Gourmet Chip Company and more.

The Broadway Black Party brings creativity to the streets and will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., spanning Broadway from the Masonic Temple to Mellow Mushroom with all-ages events open to the public throughout the day.
