Tony Kiss takes a look at the the post Thanksgiving Day holiday weekend and reports there's plenty of music, theater, movies, and some traditional musical performances to consider. Singer songwriter David Wilcox performs tonight (11/27) at the Grey Eagle Tavern and Music Hall. David's performance in Western North Carolina has become a seasonal tradition. Acoustic Syndicate takes the Grey Eagle stage Saturday night (11/28).
The Ballet Conservatory of Asheville performs "The Nutcracker" at the Bardo Arts Center at Western Carolina University December 1 at 7:30 pm. On the other end of the spectrum, the Magnetic Theater presents the 42 annual "Bernstein Family Christmas Spectacular. The sketch comedy is R-rated and runs December 3-19th.
On the big screen, John Crowley's "Brooklyn" and "Trumbo" have both opened at area theaters. Trumbo stars Bryan Cranston and has a great supporting cast, including Diane Lane, John Goodman, and Helen Mirren.
